Callback

I have fallen behind with the travel blog. That's okay, I have my Tik Tok videos.

One of my former colleagues gave the advice to keep a journal about my time in production, and that is what I should be most frequent in writing.

I have begun trolling all the facebook groups for prospects. I'm looking at production and theatre in New York. And I'm applying to short term gigs in LA whilst I'm still here. There is a production management internship in New York that would be the perfect leg in on the theatre side. I am nervous the limited production experience I have won't sell well into that role. I also got an out of office message when I emailed my resume. Still, I think that should just give me time.

I realized that if I had something lined up in New York, I wouldn't be able to stay for the party. I won't have to say "one more week won't hurt." It does hurt because I feel like I have been waiting for so long. But patience is good, I must keep patient. I did update my resume and I'm getting acclimated to the environment where I don't get a response and where they tell me I'm not experienced enough. It'll be good to numb myself since there will be a lot of that coming up.

Today though, I got a callback for a PA position on a short film. It was a nice lady who was curious about the career pivot. She liked my vibe and said, "I want to help you." That kindness is ever so appreciated and very much welcomed. I put myself out there and exuded the confidence I have behind the fear. Hopefully this pans out.
