The heat finally broke, and it was sweater weather today. In my case, denim jacket weather. I put it on as we walked to the bus stop.
We took the Green Line into downtown, which has more views than the Blue Line. You're in the middle of buildings, so I felt like I saw a lot of landmarks in just 6 stops.
Off the train, we saw inflated bunnies in a window. It looked a an art exhibit, and the window said School of Art Institute. There was no admission fee.
When we checked in, the guard told us to go down one floor. One floor down, there were a few pieces, but not enough to send us down or for this to be it. Perhaps he said first floor, so we continued to go downstairs.
We got to the last level and still didn't see anything but doors, I tried to open a door, and set off an alarm. We ran off and went back to the level with the few exhibits. We asked the person working there if there was anymore to see. The rest of the corridor was closed off to prepare the next exhibit opening Saturday.
As we ascended back up to the ground level, the guard told us we set off the alarm and reminded us he said to go down only one floor. Oops. Trouble makers. Brushing off the awkwardness, we observed a few more pieces on the ground level.
Next, we went to the Chicago Cultural Center to see the world's largest glass Tiffany dome. Before we found the dome, we toured the rest of the center, which had art, Beauty and the Beast staircases, lovely interior finishings, and a comic book exhibit on the top floor.
From the outside, the dome looks like a normal glass. From the inside, the patterns and colors were extraordinary. It had the 12 astrology symbols on the top. We had the room to ourselves for the most part, which left room for me to fidget with my gimbal and for us to record the "A Little Bit Alexis" dance.

In search of food, we went to the Metra/French Market. Metra appears to be Chicago's Metrolink equivalent, or commuter train. In the Metra Market, every track had a door with stairs that led to the tracks atop the market.
The French Market had a bunch of different cultural foods, including A Taste of Philippines. However, we were there around 4pm, most of the restaurants were closed for the day.
We ended today's pasyal on the River Walk. We stopped at Tapps, where I got a cocktail and Mere got coffee. While on the river, I called my friends in LA who just got engaged and congratulated them.
Tonight at home, there were roommate shenanigans. Mostly trying to spook one another by turning off the lights in our long hallway. Mostly Christina and Meredith. I'm a bystander.
